GripFish was born from a simple truth we discovered after years of fishing across Canada and the U.S.: good fishing gear was often too expensive, too limited in variety, or both. As anglers ourselves, we’ve spent countless weekends on the water and saw firsthand how difficult it was to find well-made, fairly priced gear suited to different fishing styles and conditions.

The turning point came during the pandemic. While fishing remained one of the few activities that brought people together outdoors, we started having in-depth conversations with other anglers—friends, local fishing communities, and charter captains. These discussions revealed a consistent need: gear that is reliable, versatile, and reasonably priced, without sacrificing quality.

At GripFish, every product is designed and produced by us. We don’t simply resell what’s available—we create gear from the ground up based on real fishing experience and direct feedback from the people who use it.
